Investigators are searching for a man they say acted as if he had a weapon to rob a Montclair Subway Sunday evening, according to a Montclair police statement.

Around 6:45 p.m., authorities say a man walked into the sandwich shop at 9453 Central Avenue and demanded the female employee to open the cash register, according to a press release.

The man kept one hand in his pocket as if he was holding some sort of weapon, officials said. The employee complied and handed over money. The man then ran off.

The man is described as white, in his 30s and standing about 6 feet tall and weighing about 200 pounds. He was last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, gray basketball shorts and blue gloves.

Montclair investigators ask anyone with information about the robbery to call the Montclair Police Department at 909-621-
