Mead Valley fire damages two outbuildings, four acres of brush

A fire has charred up to four acres and two outbuildings in the 18600 block of Alexander Street in Mead Valley on Wednesday afternoon, July 12, according to a Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Department news release.
By 4 p.m., it was described as “holding” with an estimated 25 percent containment and firefighters remaining on scene for up to three hours.
The wildfire was reported at 3:15 p.m. and burning at a slow to moderate rate of spread.
No injuries were reported.
