A suspect surrendered without incident to Riverside County sheriff’s SWAT members a few hours after deputies say he entered a Mead Valley home, argued with residents and fired a gun, according to a sheriff’s news release.

The incident was reported at 8:45 p.m. Saturday when deputies responded to the 22700 block of Lukens Lane just west of the Perris city limits.

The victims escaped the house without injury and told deputies the suspect, Bacilio Jose Petrocelli, entered their residence without permission. No one was injured.

Petrocelli, of Perris, was arrested on suspicion of burglary, being a felon in possession of a firearm, negligent discharge of a firearm and violation of probation.

He was jailed at the Cois M. Byrd Detention Center in French Valley.
