The Willliams children got to see a show Tuesday night — but not quite the one they expected.

Marine Sgt. AJ Williams, an explosive ordnance disposal tech stationed at Camp Pendleton, surprised his two kids by showing up at the Pirates Dinner Adventure show in Buena Park.

Sgt. Williams last served in Syria and had not seen his daughter, 11, and son, 3, in seven months. Williams is from Salina, Kansas, but the family currently resides in Murrieta.

Williams, dressed as a pirate, unveiled himself aboard the pirate ship at the show on Tuesday, May 16. His wife, Jennifer Williams, organized the surprise.
