Man ejected, 2 others hurt in Perris crash that closes Ramona Expressway
A man was ejected from a truck and two others were hurt in an early morning two-vehicle crash that shut down a major thoroughfare Wednesday in Perris, Riverside County sheriff’s officials said.
All three were taken to an area hospital, said Deputy Mike Vasquez, but the man thrown from the truck sustained the most serious injuries. Although he did not have the man’s current condition, Vasquez said his injuries were not life-threatening.
The crash between the truck and a Chevrolet Camaro was reported around 4:40 a.m. in the area of Ramona Expressway and Evans Road in Perris, according to Vasquez. The roadway was shut down until around 8 a.m. as detectives investigated the cause of the crash.
It wasn’t clear if the other injured people were riding in the Camaro or the truck, officials said.
