Looking for ‘winter’ things to do? Mountain resorts are ready for New Year’s revelers

Looking for a unique way to ring in the new year? Both Big Bear and Wrightwood ski resorts will be hosting a New Year’s Eve Torchlight Parade on Sunday, Dec. 31.

During each event, more than 100 skiers and snowboarders will make their way down the slopes with torches in hand making for stunning views, according to the resort websites.

Mountain High Resort‘s will begin at 6 p.m. with officials recommending viewers be at the Foggy Goggle by 5:45 p.m. Snow Summit’s parade is set to take place at 7 p.m. and will include performances by Nikki Sparks and DJ Slip Matt.

Both parades are free.
