There have been a plethora of bear sightings in the region this year, including a rare sighting in Idyllwild. What to do if a bear is seen will be a topic of a “Living With Bears” workshop at 4 p.m. Thursday, July 27, at the Idyllwild Library.

Kevin Brennan, an Idyllwild-based wildlife biologist for the California Department of Fish and Wildlife, will talk about what to do to protect yourself, your property and the bear. Participants can ask questions and share their experiences.

There is no charge to attend. The library is at 54401 Village Center Drive.
