LCD Soundsystem announces a new album and five-night residency at Hollywood Palladium
Electronic rock band LCD Soundsystem announced Monday morning that it would release its new record, “American Dream,” on Friday, Sept. 1.
The long-awaited fourth album from the New York-based group is its first since 2010’s “This is Happening.” The band gave a taste of the new material back on May 5, with the release of the singles “Call the Police” and “American Dream.” and it performed the songs on “Saturday Night Live” on May 6.
Along with the album release date and track details, LCD Soundsystem also revealed the dates for an extensive global trek that includes a five-night residency at the Hollywood Palladium (6215 Sunset Blvd.) in Los Angeles Friday, Nov. 17-Tuesday, Nov. 21.
Ticket pre-sale is from 10 a.m.-10 p.m. on Thursday, June 22, and they go on sale to the general public at 10 a.m. Friday, June 23 at 800-745-3000 or Ticketmaster.com.
