A Lakeside woman was killed a minute into the new year when she was ejected from a Jeep in a two-vehicle crash in Lake Elsinore, Riverside County sheriff’s officials said Tuesday.

Pamela Draper, 59, was a passenger in the Jeep, said Deputy Mike Vasquez with the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department.

The crash was first reported one minute after midnight Monday at the intersection of Joy Street and Riverside Drive, according to a Riverside County Coroner news release.

The Jeep crashed into a Charger in the intersection which caused the Jeep to roll over, Vasquez said.

“The occupants of the Charger received minor injuries,” Vasquez said Tuesday morning.

Riverside County sheriff’s officials are investigating the cause of the crash.
