The program of classic and contemporary Christmas works will include Adolphe Adams’ “Cantique de Noel,” Ralph Vaughn Williams’ “Fantasia on Christmas Carols” and Gustav Holst’s “Christmas Day.”

An audience sing-along of the “Hallelujah Chorus” from the “Messiah” will feature guest conductor April Summitt, dean of La Sierra’s College of Arts and Sciences, on Dec. 1, and Riverside Ward 6 Councilman Jim Perry on Dec. 2.

The free concert is at 7:30 p.m. Dec. 1 and 4 p.m. Dec. 2 at the church, 4937 Sierra Vista Ave., Riverside. Information: 951-785-2036.

The first candlelight concert was held a few months after the campus church opened in 1947.
