Knott’s Soak City waterpark offers 2 splashy new attractions for summer
When temperatures soar, families seek ways to cool down — and one place to go is Knott’s Soak City in Buena Park. The water park is open now through Sept. 10. It features 22 slides and has just opened two new attractions.
“We have several very popular attractions,” Knott’s Soak City manager Roland Reyes said. “The wave pool is popular for all ages. Some enjoy relaxing in the shallows, while others enjoy playing in the waves. The Sunset River is also attractive to all ages and allows guests to relax while laying in an inner tube. Lastly, our expansion brought us a family raft with a 42-inch height limit and the ability to have up to six guests ride at once.”
Reyes, who has worked at Soak City since 2009, likes the family raft best.
“It truly is a thrilling ride that permits riders to enjoy it with family and friends,” Reyes said.
New this year to Soak City are Shore Break and The Wedge. The Shore Break tower has two platforms. The lower one has two flumes that offer single- and double-rider options.
