All the money in the world may not be enough to see “All the Money in the World” this year.
Variety is reporting that Sony Pictures may pull the picture, which stars Kevin Spacey as billionaire J. Paul Getty, from its holiday release of December 22.
The film from Ridley Scott tells the story of the kidnapping of billionaire Getty’s grandson in Italy in 1973 and the efforts to recover him. Before the multiple sexual assault and harassment allegations against Spacey, the two-time Oscar-winner was considered a favorite for another nomination.
Since then, the studio has already dropped an awards campaign for “House of Cards” actor, who was suspended on Friday from the series after eight employees came forth leveling new allegations.
“All the Money in the World” is set to close the AFI Fest in Los Angeles on November 16 as part of a tribute to Scott. As of Monday morning, the festival says the screening will go on, but the studio is weighing pulling the film.
