Jason Aldean, other Route 91 Harvest performers react to Las Vegas mass shooting
Country star Jason Aldean was on stage mid-song at the Route 91 Harvest festival when the gunfire erupted Sunday, Oct. 1.
Early Monday morning, Aldean posted an image on Instagram of an aerial view of the Las Vegas Strip with the text “Pray for Las Vegas.”
“Tonight has been beyond horrific. I still dont know what to say but wanted to let everyone know that Me and my Crew are safe. My Thoughts and prayers go out to everyone involved tonight. It hurts my heart that this would happen to anyone who was just coming out to enjoy what should have been a fun night.”
Aldean is scheduled to headline Go Country 105.1/FM’s Go Fest at the Forum in Inglewood on Friday, Oct. 6, Mattress Firm Amphitheatre in Chula Vista on Saturday, Oct. 7, and Honda Center in Anaheim on Sunday, Oct. 8. It is unknown at this time if those shows will go on as scheduled. Aldean’s publicity company, The Green Room PR, said via an email that they had no further information.
Performer Jake Owen heard the gun shots ringing off stage equipment on Sunday night.
