RIVERSIDE — If you had told Rich Lunsford that his team would be 4-0 following Week 3, he wouldn’t have believed it.
Jamon McGlory rushed for 263 yards and four touchdowns as Riverside Arlington topped Riverside Ramona, 42-21, Friday night at Riverside Unified District Stadium.
“There’s no way if you would have come to be and said, ‘I’ve been to the future and seen that you’re going to be 4-0,’ I would have told you, ‘You’re crazy!’ ” Lunsford said. “So far the chips have fallen our way.”
McGlory ran for touchdowns of 60 and 55 yards in the first quarter as the Lions (4-0 overall) head into their final nonleague game unbeaten for the first time under Lunsford.
“It’s a little unbelieveable,” McGlory said. “We never thought much about going 4-0 but look at us. We’re going to take advantage of it.”

The Lions doubled their lead on their next drive when McGlory bounced left and through a seam in the defense for a 45-yard touchdown run.
Isaiah Baker totaled 174 yards and two touchdowns on 43 carries for the Rams (2-2 overall), who have lost consecutive games since starting the season 2-0.
“We knew that it was going to be tough against Arlington, and it was,” Ramona coach Ken Mushinskie said. “Sometimes (Baker) is going to get the ball a lot but he’s ready for it.”
Ramona got on the scoreboard less than one minute into the second quarter as Baker finished off an 8-play, 55-yard drive with a 2-yard dive.
The Rams held tight on defense to get the ball back, but Arlington’s Nate Guerrero intercepted Brandon Osayande and returned it 45 yards for a touchdown and […]
