CSUSB 72, Stanislaus State 60:
Cal State San Bernardino is now 2-1 on the season after defeating Stanislaus State in a California Collegiate Athletic Association opener on the road.
The Coyotes led for a majority of the first half before Stanislaus took a 20-18 lead with 6:45 left in the second. Jen Ventura and Arianna Knox each supplied a three-pointer to give San Bernardino the lead. Lun Junious-Reliford closed the quarter with a layup for a 30-25 lead.
Although Stanislaus got close in the fourth quarter, CSUSB kept its lead throughout the remainder of the game.
Sabrea Coleman scored a game-high 17 points and led CSUSB with six assist, seven free-throws, and two three-pointers. Kaitlyn Parks followed with 14 points and two assists. Ashley Carson and Know each added nine points.
U of R 74, La Sierra 58:
The University of Redlands defeated La Sierra University 74-58 in a nonconference game at the Currier Gym in Redlands, Calif.
Redlands led 16-14 at the end of the first quarter, and extended its lead with 16 points in the second to lead 32-22 at the half.
Wanna Wong scored 10 points for La Sierra as the team trailed closely behind, but Redlands remained on top by a 53-46 margin.
Camille Mosley led the Bulldogs (1-0) with eight points in the fourth, and Alyssa Lee followed with six.
Reyna Ta’amu scored 15 points for the night while Allison Siksnus and Alyssa Lee added 11. Wong led La Sierra (0-6) with 15 points, and Mikayla Stit followed with 12.
Riverside City College 3, Fullerton 0:
Marcella Rodriguez led the Tigers with 11 kills in their Orange Empire Conference victory against Fullerton College.
Rodriguez also contributed 13 digs in the victory at home.
