Cal State Dominguez Hills 5, Cal Baptist 4:
Bryce Macy and Ryan Mota each hit a homer as the Lancers opened their season with a walk-off loss to the hosting Cal State Dominguez Hills Toros in nonconference action.
After CSUDH scored the first two runs of the game, Mota hit a two-out home run in the fourth inning to cut the deficit in half for CBU.
Luke Navigato doubled Harrison Spohn home to tie the game in the fifth inning. Macy followed with a two-run homer to give the Lancers their first lead of the game, 4-2.
Both Navigato and Macy went 2 for 5 at the plate.
San Bernardino Valley 15, L.A. Harbor 4:
The Wolverines had five players with two RBI in their nonconference home victory over L.A. Harbor.
Tristen Macias led the pack with two RBI, a double and a run scored. He also went 3 for 4 from the plate.
Teammate Tyler Van Marter, who also had two RBI, scored three runs and went 3 for 6 from the plate. Joshua Torrance and Joseph Rodriguez also doubled in the game.
SBVC (2-4) will host Citrus College tomorrow at 2p.m.
Irvine Valley 13, Mt. San Jacinto 10:
Despite scoring four runs in the seventh inning, the Eagles (1-7) dropped their nonconference game on the road to the Irvine Valley Lasers (5-3).
Mt. San Jacinto was led by Trevor Castillo who finished with two runs scored, including a two-run homer in the bottom of the seventh inning that brought in Abraham Rascon.
Jordan Santa Cruz had two RBI and went 2 for 4 at the plate. He was the only Eagle with multiple hits.
Ian Byers tripled, while Steve Silvas and Rascon doubled in the loss.
Rascon was one of the four players with two RBI for MSJC.
