Mt. San Jacinto 95, San Diego Miramar 70:
C.J. Hyder scored a game-high 19 points in Mt. San Jacinto’s Pacific Coast Athletic Conference opener at home.
Davon Sanders had a double-double with his 16 points and 13 rebounds, adding two assists and a steal.
MSJC stayed on top for a majority of the game as there was only one lead change and one tie early on in the first half en route to a 46-36 lead at half. After Jeremy Bonifacio’s three-pointer just 19 seconds into the second half, the Jets did not get within 10 points of the Eagles.
David Thompson scored 15 points and added five rebounds and five assists. Olabanji Osinaike added 15 points and eight rebounds as he was 7-for-7 from the field.
DeAndre Snedecor rounded out the double-digit scoring with his 14 points, adding seven rebounds and two assists.
MSJC is now 9-11 overall and will host Palomar on Wednesday at 7 p.m.
UC Merced 73, La Sierra 71:
La Sierra University drops to 4-14 overall and 1-4 in Cal Pac Conference play after a loss at home.
LSU will visit Embry-Riddle on Thursday at 7:30 p.m.
UC Merced 92, La Sierra 74:
Mikayla Stitt scored a team-high 16 points in La Sierra University’s Cal Pac Conference loss at home.
Stitt added eight rebounds and four blocks. Alexis Davis also had eight rebounds, and scored 13 points as she was 5-for-9 from the field.
Rounding out the double-digit scoring was Elsie Mejia with 11 points, with six assists, four rebounds and two steals.
LSU drops to 8-11, 3-2.
Cal Lutheran 72, Redlands 57:
Reyna Ta’amu had a double-double with 13 points and 10 rebounds in the University of Redlands’ Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference loss on the road.
Cassandra Lacey led the team with 15 points, and added eight rebounds and two assists.
