The La Sierra men’s basketball team fell to Westmont College 90-68 in their first game at the Hope International University Classic on Monday afternoon in Fullerton, Calif.
Zac Phororo led the team with a game-high 17 points on 75 percent shooting from the field. He also made all five of his shots from beyond the arc.
DJ Everage followed with 14 points, meanwhile Jacob Angel had nine rebounds and six points.
Westmont’s Sean Harman reached 1,000 career points, the 42nd Warrior in school history.
La Sierra had 14 offensive rebounds, while turning the ball over 12 times to the Warriors’ seven.
The Golden Eagles are now 0-6 overall, by contrast Westmont College is 6-0.
