Cal Baptist 95, Academy of Art 82:
Kalidou Diouf scored 35 points in Cal Baptist’s PacWest victory over the Academy of Art.
Diouf went 13-for-15 from the field and 8-for-10 from the free-throw line. He also had seven rebounds and three assists.
Ty Rowell scored 18 points and went 4-for-4 from the free-throw line, adding to CBU’s 21-24 (87.5%) performance.
Cory Lange added 14 points and six rebounds, while Bul Kuol scored 14 points with five rebounds.
The Lancers improve to 18-3, 11-4 in conference play.
Cal Baptist 92, Academy of Art 62:
CBU’s win over the Academy of Art marked the second game in a row five Lancers scored in double figures. CBU shot 53.5 percent from the field (38-for-71), 40.9 percent from three (9-22) and moved the ball well with 22 assists on 38 field goals.
Emma Meriggioli scored 10 points, secured eight rebounds, dished out seven assists and had two steals and a block in the win.
For the third game in a row and fifth time over the last six games, Georgia Dale scored in double figures, with 15 overall, along with five assists, five rebounds and two steals for CBU (11-11, 8-6 PacWest). Tori Mitchell scored 13 points, pulled down seven rebounds and dished out three assists, while Lexy Ram shot 5-of-6 to finish with 12 points.
Bulldogs take 12th at Fujikura Invitational:
The University of Redlands took 12th place with a 617 after two rounds at the CSU San Marcos Fujikura Invitational.
Alex Stroes tied for 33rd with a 78 in the first round and 75 in the second. Jake Hollander tied for 39th with a 154 (78-76).
CBU finishes in fifth:
Cal Baptist took fifth place at the Fujikura Invitational with a 592 (295-297).
