Here are 17 boys soccer players in the Inland area to watch this season.

Players were chosen from schools within the coverage area of The Press-Enterprise.

Jexson Bueso Enamorado, Sr., Indian Springs: Leads one of the area’s best center half pairings.

Jack Clarke, Sr., King: All-Big VIII League center back returns to league’s best defense.

Oscar Delgado, Sr., Citrus Hill: Two-time All-CIF pick now also is a CIF champion and a Player of the Year candidate.

Christian Duarte, Sr., Indian Springs: An underrated part of the Coyotes’ resilient program.

Alec Fonseca, Sr., Chaparral: Will control the tempo for Pumas against tough Southwestern League schedule.

Francisco Gomez, Sr., Corona: The player who is scoring goals and has all the coaches talking.

Blaine Grillo, Sr., Paloma Valley: Will be looked to for goals after scoring 10 in just nine games.

Ivan Leon, Sr., Arlington: Lions’ machine in middle was the Inalnd Valley League’s Defensive MVP as sophomore.

Carlos Lira, Sr., Chaparral: Pumas’ No. 10 can dribble out of tight spaces and find open teammates.

Elias Mejia, Sr., Citrus Valley: Carried the Blackhawks on offense with 16 goals last season.

Santiago Mejia, Sr., King: Three-year letterman links defense to offense for well-built Wolves.

Jardel Oliveira, Sr., Aquinas: Tallied 16 goals and 11 assists as Falcons made some playoff noise.

Jacob Razo, Sr., Temescal Canyon: Beacon of strength on a gritty defense that is used to winning.

Eduardo ‘Lalo’ Rodriguez, Sr., Arlington: The best player on what might be the area’s best team.

Nathan Shea, Sr., Redlands East Valley: Anchors a squad that has reached consecutive CIF-SS title games.

Angel Soto, Sr., Corona: All-Big VIII League selection was one of league’s best playmakers last year.

David Venegas, Jr., Orange Vista: Had 15 goals and 10 assists for first-year program last season.
