A routine traffic stop on a vehicle with expired registration tags led to the discovery of about three pounds of crystal methamphetamine on Thursday, July 6, in Hesperia, according to a San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department news release.
The stop was made about 1:52 p.m. near Palm Street and Third Avenue near a residence. The driver, Martin Entler, 47, of Victorville, was not wearing a seat belt and appeared anxious.
Entler provided a fake identification card, later determined to be for a man in Texas who had lost his wallet earlier this year.
Entler was arrested on suspicion of transportation of narcotics and falsely impersonating another person. He was booked at the High Desert Detention Center in Adelanto with bail set at $50,000, according to jail records.
