There was a Lil ruckus in downtown Redlands on Wednesday night.

Redlands rapper Lil Xan, in a Twitter message, invited his fans to meet him on North 5th Street at 7:30 p.m. And based on social media posts, a large, enthusiastic crowd turned out.

If you live in the Inland empire/LA area and wanna meet me tonight pull up to 100–110 N 5th St
Redlands, CA 92373
United States at 7:30 💔

However, the night for Lil Xan ended in the back of a Redlands police car, which left with sirens blaring. With videos showing Lil Xan’s arms free, it was clear that police were rescuing, not arresting, the 21-year-old musician.

“The crowd was creating traffic issues. He was escorted out and the crowd was dispersed,” Redlands police spokesman Carl Baker wrote in an email.

They better not literally arrest you thats dumb as hell if they do @lilxanfuhyobih #xanarchy
