Kickoff: Thursday, 5:25 p.m.

Outlook: In a showdown of possible NFC title contenders, the winner could be on a collision course for home-field advantage. Both the Eagles and Panthers have had their moments this season, and both come into this game hot. Both teams have ferocious defensive fronts that will be crucial in slowing down the other’s quarterback. That’s no easy task lately. Cam Newton has been on a tear, with 671 passing yards and six touchdowns in his last two games, and Carson Wentz isn’t far behind. But the Eagles secondary has struggled mightily against good quarterbacks, and Newton finally looks back to being one.

Player to watch: Devin Funchess, WR. Heading into the season, Kelvin Benjamin appeared to be the unanimous No. 1 receiver in Carolina. That hasn’t been the case, as Funchess has four catches in each of his last four games and three touchdowns over his last two. He’s a huge target, and with a bad secondary on tap, he could have a big game.

Line: Eagles by 3.5

Pick: 24-23, Panthers
