Here’s a look at the 2018 Winter Olympic events that begin today

The 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang, South Korea, will feature 102 events in 15 sports, making it the first Winter Olympics to surpass 100 medal events. Big-air snowboarding, mixed-doubles curling, mass start speed skating, and mixed-team alpine skiing were added as events.

Several events begin competition and training Wednesday.

Time difference

South Korea is 17 hours ahead of the West Coast.

If it is 5 p.m. Thursday in California it is 10 a.m. Friday in South Korea.

BROADCAST: NBC networks and digital platforms will cover the action. NBC will broadcast the opening ceremony on Friday at 5 p.m. You can watch the games live on
