Menifee resident Monica Reichl is a teacher by day, and a stage actress, well, pretty much every chance she can get.
Arts Council Menifee has named her their November artist of the month.
Reichl has taught acting, costume and make-up, and film studies at Tahquitz High School in Hemet since it opened in 2007, and directs the school’s plays. She has also taught theater classes for seven years at Mt. San Jacinto College’s San Jacinto and Menifee Valley campuses.
“I love sharing my love for the stage with them and seeing them fall in love with it,” she said in a release from the council.
She has been cast in the title role of the “Ramona” outdoor play in Hemet four times, and had recently played Hermione in “A Winter’s Tale” and Gwendolyn in “The Importance of Being Earnest” for Shakespeare in the Vines.
