Hemet police seek public’s help in hunt for hit-and-run driver

Ten days after a pedestrian suffered serious injuries in a hit-and-run collision, Hemet police again are seeking the public’s help in finding the vehicle and driver that hit her.

The 28-year-old victim, a female Hemet resident who was not identified by name, remains hospitalized, according to a news release issued Tuesday evening.

The incident occurred about 6:05 p.m. Nov. 18 as the victim crossed the street near the driveway of 859 W. Florida Ave. in a busy commercial area between Palm and Tahquitz avenues.

The vehicle police are looking for is described as a tan four-door sedan.

They ask anyone who may have witnessed the collision or who has information that may help investigators to contact police at 951-765-2400.
