Both the Galaxy and Los Angeles Football Club made picks in the second stage of the MLS Re-Entry Draft.

The Galaxy had the first pick and selected midfielder Servando Carrasco, previously of Orlando City SC.

Carrasco, 29, is a seven-year MLS veteran, spending the last three years with Orlando City SC. Carrasco is the husband of U.S. women’s national team star Alex Morgan.

LAFC had the 23rd pick and selected Calum Mallace, 27, who spent last season with the Seattle Sounders.

Mallace played with the Montreal Impact for six seasons before being traded to Seattle.

Per MLS rules, both clubs now have seven days to sign their selections to a contract. According to the league “clubs are required to make a genuine offer to the player” subject to league approval.
