Former Hemet city manager gets new job

Former Hemet City Manager Alex Meyerhoff wasn’t out of work long. He has been hired as the new city manager in the Los Angeles County city of San Fernando.
Meyerhoff resigned his job in Hemet on Aug. 8 after 20 months on the job. He was hired by San Fernando on Aug. 21, receiving a five-year contract at a salary of $190,000 per year.
He was making $200,000 annually in Hemet and is being paid until Sept. 7.
San Fernando is a city of 25,000 in the northwestern region of Los Angeles County. As the only independent city in the San Fernando Valley, it is surrounded by the city of Los Angeles.
