Fire damages mobile home near Anza, claims two dogs

A single-wide mobile home caught fire near Anza around 9 p.m. Tuesday and firefighters knocked down the flames shortly after arrival, according to a Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Department news release.
The Lilac fire was in the 42200 block of Lilac Lane in the Terwilliger area south of Anza. The fire was declared controlled at 10:27 p.m.
The American Red Cross was contacted to assist two adults who were displaced. Two dogs died in the fire, according to the county fire report. No one was injured.
