Elderly Riverside man missing, last seen driving on an Orange County freeway

An elderly Riverside man with dementia went missing Tuesday, Nov. 21, while driving to a funeral in Santa Ana, Riverside police said Wednesday night.
Irving Alvin Davis, 98, was last seen driving west on the 91 freeway approaching the southbound 55 freeway interchange in Orange County about 11 a.m. Tuesday, Riverside police said in a statement. He never made it to the funeral for a family member, police said.
He was in a gray 2007 Toyota Solara two-door sedan with a California disabled license plate of DPP6671, they said.
Davis, who lives in the 4200 block of Monroe Street in Riverside, is described as African American, 5 feet 6 inches tall, weighing 142 pounds with gray hair and gray eyes. Police did not have a description of the clothes he was wearing.
A “Silver Alert” was issued by the California Highway Patrol for Davis, who suffers from dementia and takes medication for blood pressure and diabetes. Police don’t know if he has his medication with him.
