Eagles announce a pair of September shows at the Forum
By Peter Larsen
The Eagles were never not going play the L.A. area from which the legendary band emerged more than four decades ago, and so word arrived that the band will perform at the Forum on Sept. 12 and Sept. 14, a week or so before its previously announced show at Petco Park in San Diego on Sept. 22.
The core band now includes Don Henley, Joe Walsh and Timothy B. Schmit – co-founder Glenn Frey died in January 2016. Country star Vince Gill and Frey’s son Deacon Frey also have been in the group since its first appearance without Frey in July 2017 at the Classic festival, a pair of weekends at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles and Citi Field in New York City.
The Forum dates are billed as “An Evening with the Eagles,” a format different than the Petco show which will also include the Zac Brown Band and the Doobie Brothers on the bill.
Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday, Feb. 16, with pre-sales starting Tuesday, Feb. 13 and Thursday, Feb. 15. Tickets are $59.50-$399.50.
