Driver who does ‘doughnuts’ on the 215 Freeway is cited, police say
A driver was cited on suspicion of driving in circles in the southbound lanes of the 215 Freeway early Sunday — blocking traffic behind him, Riverside police said.
The incident occurred about midnight, according a post on the Riverside police Air Support Unit’s Facebook page. The driver of the Mazda began doing doughnuts in traffic, the post said, causing traffic behind him to stall.
He was issued a citation and his vehicle impounded, according to the post, which did not include how long traffic was blocked or the specific location of the incident.
Authorities weren’t immediately available to provide more information.
