Don’t throw away that pizza crust San Jacinto, it can now be recycled
By Craig Shultz
San Jacinto residents can start adding food scraps into their green waste bin and to encourage them to do so, food scrap pails will be offered for free.
Thanks to the Anaerobic Digester Facility refuse contractor CR&R built in Perris, yard and food waste will be converted into renewable natural gas and an organic compost material.
Kitchen food scrap pails will be given away to San Jacinto residents from 8 a.m.-noon July 29 and Aug. 5 at 501 S. San Jacinto St., just north of City Hall.
Proof or residency (picture ID and utility bill) is required. Information: 800-755-8112.
