Did Logan Forsythe earn America another free Taco Bell taco?
Logan Forsythe stole a base in the second inning of game 3 of the 2017 World Series.
So, we all get tacos, right?
Not so fast.
Taco Bell has been promoting a “Taco Hero” giveaway, the gist of which is that if a player in the World Series steals a base, Taco Bell-eating Americans can pick up a free Doritos Locos Taco at participating locations.
Unfortunately, Forsythe’s stolen base was the second one of this World Series.
Cameron Maybin, outfielder for the Astros, stole a base during game two and has already been crowed “Taco Hero” of 2017.
Cameron, you’re our taco hero. 🙌 https://t.co/dMWoXJ2YxG

There it is! Thanks to that stolen base, everyone gets FREE Doritos® Locos Tacos from @TacoBell on Nov. 1, 2-6pm! https://t.co/l0i2HLA0Rr pic.twitter.com/x3MtZhtkQR

Taco Bell’s ads for the contest did say that the title would go to the first player to steal a base.
The #WorldSeries starts today! Who do you think will be the first player to steal a base and win America free tacos? pic.twitter.com/sWon5t3ZMP

And, during the 2016 World Series between the Chicago Cubs and the Cleveland Indians, there were over a dozen stolen bases…and only one Taco Hero – Francisco Lindor of the Indians.
So, it’s unlikely that Forsythe’s stolen base got us another free meal.
On the bright side, you can still claim Maybin’s free taco on Wednesday, Nov. 1 between 2 and 6 p.m.
Can you believe @CameronMaybin just stole a base in the #WorldSeries? Get your free #DoritosLocosTaco on 11/1 from 2-6 p.m.
