It’s almost time for the weekend, so here’s the latest edition of the Playlist with ideas for what to do with friends, as a couple or with your family in the Inland Empire.

Friends

OK friends, buckle up and bring it because the Desert Daze Music and Art Festival lineup reads like a mini-Coachella.

I mean, acts such as Courtney Barnett, the Allah-Las and King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard took the stage in recent years at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival and are returning to the IE this weekend.

Friday-Sunday, Oct. 13-15. Institute of Metaphysics, 59700 Twentynine Palms Highway, Joshua Tree. $179-$450; $100-$199 for camping passes. desertdaze.org.

2-7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 13, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 14. Downtown Murrieta. Free. murrietarodrun.com.
