Desert Daze Music and Art Festival, Murrieta Rod Run and Father John Misty are on tap this weekend in the Inland Empire, Oct. 13-15
It’s almost time for the weekend, so here’s the latest edition of the Playlist with ideas for what to do with friends, as a couple or with your family in the Inland Empire.
OK friends, buckle up and bring it because the Desert Daze Music and Art Festival lineup reads like a mini-Coachella.
I mean, acts such as Courtney Barnett, the Allah-Las and King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard took the stage in recent years at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival and are returning to the IE this weekend.
But wait! There’s more! Desert Daze headliner Iggy Pop, Eagles of Death Metal and Hope Sandoval also are among the performers during the festival’s three days.

It’s that time of year again when thousands of people fill Old Town Murrieta to check out hundreds of rumbling hot rods, classic cars and vintage autos at the 5th annual Murrieta Rod Run.
Round up the whole family and head out Friday for the evening cruise through the streets of downtown or check out the show-and-shine spectacle beginning at 8 a.m. on Saturday.
The free event also features dozens of vendors offering items and food for sale.
