A Corona man whose body was found floating on Border Lake in Corona Wednesday is believed to have died from suicide, authorities said.

Corona Police Department Sgt. Paul Mercado confirmed Sunday that the death of 54-year-old Andre Scotke is being investigated as a suicide. Scotke was found in the lake just before 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, Riverside County Coroner’s officials said.

The lake is in the southwest corner of the city between Camelot Drive and Border Avenue. The lake, pool, and a park are operated by the Village Grove Homeowners Association.
