Travelers in western Hemet will need to plan for delays Friday, Dec. 8, when the traffic signal at the intersection of Sanderson and Acacia Avenue will be turned off from 7 a.m.-3 p.m.

Stop signs will be posted and the roads will remain open.

Thousands of vehicle each day go through the intersection, which helps connect southwest Riverside County to the San Gorgonio Pass.

A major landscaping project is underway surrounding the solar field near the intersection.
