The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s projection for a dry winter in Southern California may have been a bit premature.

Rain could moisten the region as early as this weekend, according to the National Weather Service.

Temperatures are expected to be in the ’60s through most of the weekend in the Inland Empire, with rain possible mornings and at night through Tuesday, Nov. 7.

The forecast calls for a 20 percent chance of rain Thursday and Friday morning. A high of 68-degrees is expected for Thursday afternoon, with temperatures dropping to about 52 degrees by the evening.

The Friday forecast also calls for cloudy conditions with a chance of rain in the morning.

Patchy drizzles are expected each day through Sunday, according to the report. The weather service also says we could get wetter weather Sunday through Tuesday.

And it may be windy.

Wind gusts from 25 to 35 mph are expected in the San Bernardino Mountains and San Gorgonio Pass, the report said.

Temperatures are expected to be closer to normal by the end of next week, according to the weather service report.
