California history audio recordings from Corona now online

More than 100 oral histories and other sound recordings at the Corona Public Library can now be found online as part of the California Light and Sound collection.

Through the California Audiovisual Preservation Program, 133 sound recordings from the library’s Heritage Room are now available online at

The recordings include oral histories, interviews, performances, speeches, radio ads and local events on topics such as agriculture, labor, segregation, genealogy and community growth.

Fourteen local documentaries and home movies from Corona are being digitized for the collection, which is meant for research, teaching and study. To contribute to the library’s collection, call 951-279-3796 or email
