Ibandel Isabel hit a two-run single in the bottom of the first during the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes’ 10-1 victory over the Inland Empire 66ers at LoanMart Field.

Isabel’s single followed Yusniel Diaz’s RBI-double, and gave the Quakes an early 3-0 lead.

DJ Peters kept the momentum going with a two-run homer to center field in the third.

Brendon Sanger put IE on the board with a RBI-double in the fifth. Victor Roache extended Rancho’s lead with a three-run homer in the sixth, followed by Peters’ three-run triple to seal the win.

Rancho moves to 34-32 while IE drops to 30-36.

Lancaster 4, Lake Elsinore 0>>

Jacob Nix (1-1) took the loss in the Lake Elsinore Storm’s loss to the Lancaster JetHawks at The Hangar.

Nix tossed six innings, allowing nine hits and four runs and striking out three. Gerardo Reyes and Colby Blueberg each struck out one in one inning.

Lake Elsinore drops to 32-34 while Lancaster improves to 36-30.
