After falling behind 5-0 in the first inning the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes defeated the Stockton Ports 12-10 in a California League game at LoanMart Field on Tuesday evening.

Brant Whiting led the Quakes (52-44), going 4 for 4 with two RBI and three runs scored and Brandon Montgomery went 2 for 3 with two RBI and a run scored.

Luke Raley finished 2 for 5 with two RBI and two runs scored and Drew Jackson hit a two-run home run in the third inning.

Andrew Istler picked up his ninth save of the year after striking out two in the ninth.

San Jose 6, Lake Elsinore 5>>

The Storm gave up five runs in the seventh inning as they fell to the Giants at The Diamond.

Kyle Overstreet went 2 for 4 with an RBI and two runs scored to lead the Storm (46-50).

Starting pitcher Jesse Scholtens gave up a run on six hits in six innings.

Inland Empire 9, Modesto 8>>

The 66ers scored all nine runs in the seventh inning to defeat the Nuts at John Thurman Field.

Connor Justus went 2 for 5 with two RBI and a run scored to lead the 66ers (46-50).
