Lancaster’s Roberto Ramos hit an RBI single in the 10th inning as the JetHawks posted a 5-4 victory over the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes at The Hanger on Tuesday night.
After the JetHawks scored four runs, Rancho’s DJ Peters scored Zach McKinstry on a sacrifice fly to get the game within a run in the seventh inning.
Peters also had an RBI single in the ninth inning to tie it at 4-4.
Peters went 2 for 4 and led the Quakes with two RBIs.
Brandon Montgomery added another two RBI for the Quakes.
Sam Hilliard, who led the JetHawks with two RBI, opened the game with a homer to right field.
Inland Empire 6, San Jose 5>>
The 66ers rallied in the eighth inning to beat the Giants at San Manuel Stadium.
After trailing the Giants since the second inning, Inland Empire scored three runs in the eighth inning.
Jake Yacinich hit a two-run single in the eighth inning as part of the three-run rally.
Jared Walsh, who went went 3 for 4, hit an RBI double in the first inning. He finished with an RBI and a run scored.
The Giants’ Matt Winn hit a two-run double in the second inning.
Modesto 4, Lake Elsinore 2>>
The Nuts were led by Eric Filia as they defeated the Storm at John Truman Field.
Filia went 4 for 5 with an RBI and a run scored.
Lake Elsinore’s Carlos Belen and Peter Van Gansen each had one RBI. Ruddy Giron went 2 for 4 with a run scored.
Modesto’s pitcher Tyler Jackson (2-2) struck out a career high eight batters in five innings to get the win. The Storm’s Jesse Scholtens took home the loss after allowing three runs off nine hits in five innings.
