Bicyclist pulling small trailer struck, killed in Yucca Valley

A man riding a bicycle along Twentynine Palms Highway in Yucca Valley was killed Thursday morning after being struck by a passing vehicle, according to San Bernardino County sheriff’s officials.

Around 10:15 a.m., the unidentified man was riding a bicycle and pulling a small trailer east when a vehicle driven by Diego Kim struck the cyclist from behind, according to a news release.

Paramedics took the man to Hi-Desert Medical Center in Joshua Tree, where he later died.

The Morongo Basin Major Investigation Team are conducting the investigation. The cause of the collision is under investigation.
