A Beaumont man was arrested early Wednesday on suspicion violating his parole conditions, Beaumont police said.

Jeremy Nejedly, 24, was taken into custody after officers found him in an area where there were reports of a man knocking on doors and attempting to sell items to residents or use their phones, a Beaumont police news release said.

Nejedly was booked at the Smith Correctional Facility in Banning. No bail has been set, according to jail records.

Police received a call just before 1 a.m. that a man matching the description of the suspect was in the area, the release said.

Officers detained Nejedly while his parole officer was contacted, the release said. The parole officer placed a hold on Nejedly and he was taken into custody.
