Authorities seek help in finding 3 suspects following Eastvale home invasion
Authorities are seeking three suspects who broke into an Eastvale home owned by a Pomona police officer, who subsequently fired at them Saturday, the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department said.
The suspects are believed to be black males between the ages of 18-28, a Sheriff’s news release said. They are of thin to medium build and fled in a gray Hyundai.
The incident occurred about 1 p.m. when the three suspects allegedly entered a residence on the 6400 block of Caxton Street, the release said. They were heard by the residents, one a Pomona police off-duty officer who confronted two of the suspects in an upstairs room.
The officer had the two suspects at gunpoint before firing several times at one of them when he feared for his life, the release said. The three suspects then fled. The release did not say if any of the suspects were wounded.
Sheriff’s investigators round signs of forced entry at the residence, the release said.
Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call the Jurupa Valley Station at either 951-955-2000 or 951-955-2777.
