By Ryan Hagen
The apparent murder-suicide that left two men dead Friday started with a fight over a woman, police said Monday, Jan. 1.
The woman, who was not wounded, met Joshua Powers, 39, of Moreno Valley in the parking lot of a Fontana warehouse in the 11200 block of Poplar Avenue, according to a news release from Sgt. Kevin Goltara of the Fontana Police Department.
Jason Lyles, 30, of Rialto
Jason Lyles, 30, of Rialto then arrived at the parking lot and confronted the woman, who may once have been his girlfriend. according to police.
That led to an argument during which Lyles pulled out a handgun and shot Powers, then himself.
No one at the logistics business was in danger, Goltara said earlier.
This was the first time police released the names of the two men involved.
