Area college golfers tabbed academic All-Americans

Area college golfers were well represented on the Women’s Collegiate Golf Association All-American Scholars list.

The University of Redlands had three players named to the list. Seniors Kari and Raquel Gordon and junior Caroline Ordian were recognized for exceeding the minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5.

The Gordon sisters completing degrees in Accounting and were named to the scholars list for the fourth time. Ordian becomes a three-time WGCA All-American Scholar as a Business Administration major.

California Baptist placed all five of its starting golfers on the All-American list.

Natalie Park, Samantha Martirez, Erica Wang, Marvi Monsalve and Laura Scrivner all earned the honor, with Park and Monsalve becoming the first multiple WGCA All-American Scholars in CBU history.

Senior Haley Wian, who helped lead UC Riverside to a Big West title and a second-place finish the past two seasons, was also named to the list.
