Afternoon thunderstorms possible in mountains
By Ali Tadayon
Clouds building Sunday morning over Inland mountains could lead to afternoon thunderstorms, meteorologists say.
But the thunderstorms are expected to be “nothing too significant,” said National Weather Service meteorologist Brett Albright. As moisture increases into the evening, some light sprinkles could occur over and west of the mountains.
Similar conditions are expected to continue through Tuesday. Though temperatures during that period are expected to be in the low 90s throughout the Inland Empire, the humidity will make it feel warmer, Albright said.
Starting Wednesday, temperatures are expected to rise into the upper 90s, while humidity levels will go back down, Albright said.
