About 755 homes and businesses in Menifee were without power Monday evening, Jan. 8, and restoration isn’t expected until 7 a.m. Tuesday, according to Southern California Edison’s power outage map.

The outage began at 4:52 p.m. Monday in an area northwest of Newport and Murrieta roads near La Ladera Park, according to the outage map.

The outage was blamed on equipment problems.

It’s a chilly night to be without power; the National Weather Service said Menifee’s overnight low would be 52 degrees.
