6 ridiculously luxurious things you can do while at Kaaboo Del Mar

As thousands of fans flooded into the gates of the second day of the three-day Kaaboo Del Mar at the Del Mar Racetrack + Fairgrounds everyone seemed to split off for their own day of adventure. Rather than heading straight for the main stage, guests mingled in a variety of areas throughout the sprawling festival grounds.

Though music is certainly the core of Kaaboo – with Saturday’s big performers being Pink, Muse, Ice Cube, Jane’s Addiction, Garbage, Eric Burdon & the Animals, Logic, Machine Gun Kelly and many more – the festival offers a broad array of experiences from food and drink pairings in the Palate area and pool fun and cabana lounging in the Bask area to comedy shows in the on-site, air-conditioned Humor Me comedy club and the numerous luxuries and amenities that exist within the Indulgences area.

Even early on Saturday afternoon, patrons were taking full advantage of these indulgences that at first thought may seem a bit over-the-top for a music festival, however, Kaaboo, which is now in its third year, has always been about more of a lifestyle experience.


Women hit up the San Diego-based Paul Mitchell the School tent to get their hair braided our put into a stylish updo, something Leslie DeDicatoria, admissions for Paul Mitchell the School, said was very popular during the first day of Kaaboo. Services are just $10 each.

“You just come in and you get that festival hair,” she said with a smile, pointing to the women in the chairs who were getting their hair out of their faces and up into a variety of styles based on their preference.
